Shift Manager- Queenstown

We are on the hunt for a couple of Shift Managers at our BK Restaurants in Queenstown.

You must be able to work some night and weekend shifts!

As a Shift Manager, you are responsible for:

  • This is a hands-on position, you will also work to make and serve: big, bold, deliciousness (great burgers) to everyone.
  • Supervise a small team of Fast Food workers (Cooks & Kitchen Hands) and support them to be successful by coaching, ensuring breaks are taken etc.
  • Ensure that all operational standards are met, including food safety, quality and customer measures.
  • Problem solve should issues arise and escalate to experts as required e.g. if kitchen machinery require repairing.
  • Ensure the Health & Safety of all employees.
  • Assists with Promoting Restaurant Profitability e.g. focus on costs and maximising customer opportunities.

What we offer you:

  • Permanent employment
  • Salary: $56-59K gross per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • Guaranteed hours of 40 hours per week to be worked over any 5 days of the week, Monday to Sunday.
  • Hours and days of work will depending on the rostered shifts you are assigned.
  • Additional hours, if agreed, are also paid (hours over 80 per fortnight)

Requirements:

  • At least 1 years supervisory or management experience and overseeing the duties of Team Members. This may be in the hospitality, retail or customer service.
  • Great people & great customer service skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to create a positive culture and working environment.
  • Experience on how to on-board new employees and with staff training and motivation (advantage).
